AFFINILUTE¢â MIP - NNAL
Selective SPE sorbent optimised for extraction of tobacco-specific nitrosamine NNAL from biological samples
NNAL is a carcinogenic metabolite of the tobacco-specific lung carcinogen 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK) and is an important marker in monitoring the effects of such compounds in humans.
With this sorbent, NNAL can be selectively extracted from biological samples with high recoveries. Compared with current analytical methods for NNAL detection, which are elaborate and time-consuming, AFFINILUTE MIP - NNAL produces reliable and accurate results and significantly reduces the sample handling time. It allows extremely low limits of quantification and has been shown to be highly reproducible. It can also be used for quantification of NNAL where nicotine is present.
Features and Applications AFFINILUTE MIP - NNAL extracts 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanol (NNAL) selectively from biological samples with high recoveries. Compared with current analytical methods for accurate NNAL detection, which are elaborate and time-consuming, AFFINILUTE - NNAL provides reliable and accurate results in a fraction of the time. It allows extremely low limits of quantification and has been shown to be very reproducible. It can also be used for quantification of NNAL where nicotine is present. This robust and highly selective AFFINILUTE MIP - NNAL is compatible with high-throughput automated systems.
